Emergent Literacy

Emergent Literacy is an important building block for literacy. This section is for children who are struggling to learn to read and for younger children who will be reading soon. Early literacy emcompasses phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, selecting books of choice, holding a book, "reading" the pictures, and more.
