Can you Dance Dalila? book cover

Can You Dance Dalila?
by Virginia Kroll, Simon & Schuster, 1996

Dalila dreams of dancing.  There are many ways to dance in the world, and Dalila is excited to try them all.  Can Dalila find the dance that is right for just Dalila?

Activities:

1.  After reading the story, go back and try the dances.  Learn, at least, one move for each dance.  Write the names of the dances on cards and put in a box or bag.  Draw one card and then "make your move."

2.  Describe the costume that a dancer would wear for a specific dance.  List the dances and then list the costumes.  Try to match them.
