Materials:  Pictures of different occupations (Boardmaker or Clipart) and where they work using felt or pictures with velcro (hook side) on the back.  Felt board or display board covered with tempo loop.  You could also put a small magnet on the back of the picture and use the chalkboard as display.

Activity and Suggested Script: Let the child choose a worker and place it on the board.

Script:
Adult:  "This is a _______."  "Where does he/she work?"
Child:  "He/she works in a ________." (placing the picture of the place)
Adult:  "Yes, he/she works in a ________."

Other Activities:  "What does he/she do?"  "What type of tools does he/she need for his/her job?"
