Technology

Technology is indepensible when making educational materials that are meaningful and motivating. There are many ways of integrating technology and speech-language pathology to make the intervention process easier and more successful. Materials can be personalized for the individual. For example, by using a digital camera, photographs of people and objects in a person's daily activities can be used in a word processing program. This makes the materials more motivating and meaningful. Also, with a few basic skills and a presentation program, the computer can be used to capture attention and offer interactivity.
